Parents are professionals

I remember well the feelings of guilt and despair at being too ill to drag myself from the sofa to play with my toddlers, too dozy to respond to their laughter, too nauseous to want to cook lunch. But somehow we all managed to survive. Often we think we are doing a rotten job of caring for our children then suddenly we look again and they are strong healthy adults. We didn't go too far wrong then. My admiration goes out to parents of young children today, the job does not get any easier and I see in you a strong features of professionalism.
